Small Talks for the Week of September 5–12

Small Talks are a new addition to the lineup of programs at NOMA. These 10- to 15-minute discussions focus on a single object or small range of objects within the permanent collection or special exhibitions. For the week of September 5–12, join us for topics ranging from the abstract works of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner to Maarten van Heemskerck’s Apollo and the Muses.

Additionally, Noontime Talks are casual conversations frequently scheduled throughout the year at noon between artists, curators, and other special guests with NOMA visitors. In the week ahead, Join Richard Collins of the New Orleans Zen Temple on Wednesday, September 5, as he leads visitors through Teaching Beyond Doctrine: Painting and Calligraphy by Zen Masters. Curator Katie Pfohl will discuss installations from Changing Course: Reflections on New Orleans Histories on Wednesday, September 12.
