Teen Photo Challenge: Captured in Quarantine


The NOMA Teen Squad is now accepting submissions for NOMA’s Teen Photo Challenge: Captured in Quarantine.  Teens in New Orleans and beyond are invited to reflect on their experience of current events through the medium of photography. All submissions will be reviewed by members of the Teen Squad and Assistant Curator of Photography Brian Piper. Up to 10 youth photographers will be featured on NOMA’s Instagram and website, and one winner will receive a professional portfolio review!


Eligibility & Guidelines:

  • Open to all teens!
  • All photos must be yours
  • Cameras or phones welcome



The global coronavirus pandemic has changed our world forever. Teens, how have current events impacted your life and surroundings? From social distancing measures to delayed events & milestones, history is being made all around us in our everyday lives. Pick up your camera to tell the story of now through photography.


How do I submit?

  • Select up to 3 photos
  • Share a few sentences about what your photos mean ot you. Why did this challenge interest you? 
  • Send your name, age, photos, & statement to education@noma.org by Friday, June 26, 2020
