In anticipation of future performances, the NOLA Project presents a series of readings in NOMA's brand-new Lapis Center for the Arts. All three readings are free with museum admission. Each event gives a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the NOLA Project's upcoming performance seasons.

The New Orleans Museum of Art in collaboration with PowerHouse Productions is excited to present TRUST, a concept and performance by singer/songwriter Kelly Love Jones. Join us in the Besthoff Sculpture Garden amphitheater for an evening of music, visual art, dance, and theater. Jones brings to the stage a star-studded cast: Lakeba Angelle, Tiffany Morris, Jamal Baptiste, Xavier Molina, and Cameron Watson.

Wander through tales from spooky to strange in this brand-new look at some very old fables written by NOLA Project ensemble member Brittany N. Williams. Meet magical aunties, too-clever wolves, wicked stepmothers, foolish devils, and determined ghosts on a winding tour of five stories pulled from European and African American fairy tales and folklore.

Pedro Segundo in the Great Hall

In conjunction with the closing of Dawn DeDeaux: The Space Between Worlds, Pedro Segundo presents a solo percussion performance in NOMA’s Great Hall. A musical composition by Segundo is featured in DeDeaux’s work Where’s Mary, and this special event is inspired by that score and the exhibition’s themes of beginnings and ends.
