Art Thrives: Ceramics (Ages 55 and Up)

NOMA’s Art Thrives program aims to create opportunities exclusively for adults ages 55 and up to learn new creative skills while building community and having fun in the process. In conjunction with Katherine Choy: Radical Potter in 1950s New Orleans, on view through April 16, we invite you to join us for an eight-session ceramics course.

Over four weeks, participants worked with teaching artists and museum staff to learn hand-building techniques while exploring the progression of ceramics over the past 200 years.

Studio KIDS!: Meet Me at the Market (Ages 6–10)

Join us for Studio KIDS! art-making workshops for youth ages 6–10. Meet at the museum on select Saturday mornings to take a look at artworks in the galleries and practice your own art-making skills with a NOMA teaching artist. Registration is required and includes all art-making materials.

Much Ado About Cutting: A Call to Collage

Join Arijino Artistry at NOMA on Wednesday, May 10, 2–5 pm, and spend intentional time nurturing imagination, prioritizing play, and exploring the medium of collage. This activity table is open for artists of all ages and skill levels.
