Studio KIDS!: Meet Me at the Market (Ages 6–10)

Join us at the museum on select Saturday mornings for Studio KIDS! youth and pre-teen art-making workshops. We’ll take inspiration from an artwork in the galleries or garden, then return to the studio to make our own creations with a teaching artist. Registration is required and includes all art-making materials.

Take a trip to the market to explore the power of color, form, and repetition in Jacob Lawrence’s compelling market scenes in Black Orpheus: Jacob Lawrence and the Mbari Club. Young artists are invited to create their own dynamic mixed media compositions inspired by selected works from the exhibition.
