Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is an educational framework to help foster social skills that develop and maintain healthy relationships with self and others. SEL at NOMA connects ideas like empathy and self-esteem with the artists and artworks in the museum’s permanent collection or featured in special exhibitions. Designed for children ages 6 and up.

Family Day | Wangechi Mutu: Intertwined

Enjoy a fun-filled visit to the museum with the whole family! Family days occur twice a year and are packed with activities, art-making, performances, and more. No admission, materials, or registration fees are required.

Teen Night: Teens Take NOMA | Wangechi Mutu: Intertwined

NOMA’s Teen Art Council takes over the museum to celebrate youth, creativity, and connection. Inspired by Wangechi Mutu: Intertwined, the event features opportunities to engage with the exhibition, relax with friends, and connect with creative teens from across the city!

Taylor Family and Educators Appreciation Day

In partnership with the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation, NOMA presents an annual family day for Taylor Scholars. Students in the Taylor Scholars program are invited to #ExploreNOMA and participate in special activities throughout the day.
