In consideration of the Governor’s ban on public gatherings of over 250 people, the NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Festival in the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden has been canceled.

Due to the current COVID 19 crisis, NOMA and the Garden Study Club have made the difficult decision to cancel Art in Bloom presented by IBERIABANK. Like every public institution, the safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, patrons, guests, donors and participants are our highest priorities during these complicated times. A live auction continues through Friday, May 11, at 9 am.

NOMA’s annual fall soirée in the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden features dining and dancing beneath the stars and moss-draped oaks in a spectacular outdoor setting.

Art in Bloom 2022: In Full Bloom Presented by First Horizon

One of the most anticipated springtime events in New Orleans, Art in Bloom showcases spectacular floral designs created by garden clubs, floral designers, and creative talents from New Orleans and beyond. This year’s theme, In Full Bloom, celebrates, through floral expression, the joy of returning to our pre-pandemic way of life.  In addition to fabulous floral installations on view for for five days at NOMA, Queen Nefertari’s Egypt will also be on display during Art in Bloom. Nefertari, the royal wife of Pharaoh Ramesses II, is linked to some of the most magnificent monuments of ancient Egypt.

The NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Festival is a fun and festive event for families featuring arts & crafts, games, face painting, a petting zoo, food, drinks, sweets, music, and more.

Funds raised at LOVE in the Garden provide crucial general operating support to NOMA, allowing the museum to keep staff employed, create innovative virtual content and serve the New Orleans community with educational initiatives.
