NOMA welcomes college and university student groups to spend time with our comprehensive collection of art, make connections with their lives and their studies, and develop close-looking skills.
College and university instructors facilitating classroom learning are invited to request complimentary admission. Professors may arrange for a guided tour of NOMA given by a docent or NOMA staff member. Self-guided tours offer classes the opportunity to explore the collection at their own pace or focus on a particular subject. Lecturing and presenting in the galleries is permitted, however, preference is given to NOMA-guided tours.
College and university organizations and clubs will be contacted by a NOMA staff member to arrange their visit. Alumni groups may book through the adult group visits request form.
To schedule a guided or self-guided group visit at NOMA please complete the request form two weeks in advance. Reservations are booked according to submission date and fill up quickly. Read our museum guidelines and group guidelines prior to your visit.
Group Rates for the Museum
Discounted admission to the museum is available for groups of 10 or larger with an advance reservation. A reservation is required to take advantage of the group ticket rate.
Please note: Prices below reflect group discounts for general museum admission. If there is a special exhibition requiring an additional charge you will be contacted by a staff member upon submitting your group tour request.

Teens (19 and under) are free, courtesy of the Helis Foundation. Children (12 and under) are free.
Guided Visits
Engaging, 45-minute tours are led by NOMA’s docents and offer opportunities for in-depth examination of the museum’s permanent collection and/or special exhibition on view. See current or upcoming exhibitions at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Please let us know on your request form if you have a special interest. NOMA will make every effort to accommodate your group’s request if possible. Please submit your reservation request at least two weeks in advance. Reservations fill up quickly, and it is highly recommended to have a few dates in mind for your group visit.
Self-Guided Visits
Groups are welcome to explore NOMA’s collection independently or with their own lecturer. To request a self-guided visit please complete the request form with at least one week’s notice. Reservations are limited by capacity; it is strongly encouraged to submit your request at least two weeks in advance.
Group Size
Any group larger than 60 people will be required to split into smaller groups rotating between NOMA’s galleries and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden.
