300 Years of Art in New Orleans
at NOMA and The Historic New Orleans Collection
Please register in advance. $10 fee includes breakfast and lunch each day.
On Tuesday June 19th, we’ll start the morning at THNOC’s classroom at 610 Toulouse St at 9am for breakfast and discussion. Then we’ll head to the Williams Research Center, where staff members will do an archival show and tell featuring items from our collection. Later, back in the classroom, participants will engage in hands-on activities with replica museum objects, reproductions of archival maps and documents, and items from our teaching collection. This program will provide opportunities to meet other educators and brainstorm about curriculum and free curriculum templates that make it easy to integrate primary sources into your lesson plans.
