Noontime talks are casual conversations between artists, curators, and other special guests with NOMA visitors frequently scheduled throughout the year. Join Curator Katie Pfohl for a discussion about the exhibition Ear to the Ground: Earth and Element in Contemporary Art.

Small Talk: Madonna and Child with Saints

Small Talks are ten-to-fifteen-minute gallery talks focused on one object or a small group of objects. These brief informal sessions enrich the visitor experience and allow visitors to learn more about works of art in NOMA’s permanent holdings as well as those on view in temporary exhibitions.

Arts & Letters Series: Zachary Lazar and Deborah Luster

NOMA’s Arts & Letters series welcomes authors, poets, journalists, playwrights, and literary scholars to the museum for public conversations that reflect on literature at the intersection of arts and culture. In partnership with One Book One New Orleans, this segment of the series features author Zachary Lazar, photographer Deborah Luster, and actor Bobby Wallace.

Dickie Landry SOLO Concert

Louisiana-born saxophonist, artist, photographer, and composer Dickie Landry will perform one of his legendary site-specific SOLO concerts in tribute to the work of Keith Sonnier and Tina Girouard. In his 60-minute performance in NOMA’s Great Hall, Landry will play the tenor saxophone to explore the textures and abstract layers of sound within NOMA’s iconic architecture.
