Motion to Move 2023

In partnership with Edward Spots and Magnolia Dance & Company, NOMA is excited to present Motion to Move 2023, a walking installation of pop-up dance art celebrating Juneteenth. Performers and audience members will explore the theme of “movement” as they travel together through the museum and Besthoff Sculpture Garden.

Mini Masters at the Library

New Orleans Public Library- Nora Navra Branch

The New Orleans Museum of Art and the New Orleans Public Library have partnered to bring together art and early literacy activities for this community program designed for children ages 2-5 years old and their caregivers. Inspired by NOMA's Mini Masters, an arts-integration program that provides visual arts experiences and museum interaction for preschool students, participants of Mini Masters at the Library will engage in hands-on art-making activities and develop the early literacy skills needed to become ready to read.

Art Thrives Shakespeare Alive! Showcase

NOMA’s Art Thrives program aims to create opportunities exclusively for adults ages 55 and up to learn new creative skills while building community and having fun in the process. Over four weeks, participants worked with teaching artists and museum staff to learn hand-building techniques while exploring the progression of ceramics over the past 200 years.
