Join us for a special performance showcase highlighting the work of participants in our Art Thrives Shakespeare Alive! course offered in collaboration with the NOLA Project’s Midsummer Night’s Dream performance.

NOMA’s Art Thrives program aims to create opportunities exclusively for adults ages 55 and up to learn new creative skills while building community and having fun in the process. Over eight weeks, participants learned to interact with the Bard the way actors do—speak verse, apply actions, use vocal techniques, and learn about all the hidden clues Shakespeare provides actors within the text.

Participants will be performing their chosen Shakespeare speeches in NOMA’s Lapis Center for the Arts on June 30, 2023, from 2-4 pm
