Friday Nights at NOMA: “Hidden Musicians of Venice: The Fascinating Story of Vivaldi’s All-Female Orchestra,” a lecture by Kim Teter
In conjunction with the exhibition A Life of Seduction: Venice in the 1700s, author Kim Teter will share her research on the little-known history of Antonio Vivaldi's all-female orchestra that he led from an orphanage in Venice. A trio of classical musicians from Loyola University will also entertain visitors in the Great Hall. Upstairs a Teen Poetry Slam will be held in the Contemporary Galleries.
Friday Nights at NOMA: “Reinstalling the Decorative Arts at NOMA,” A gallery talk with Curator Mel Buchanan | Music by Carlo Ditta and Friends
Friday Nights at NOMA offers an array of opportunities during extended museum hours. Curator Mel Buchanan will lead a tour through the newly reimagined Lupin Foundation Decorative Arts Galleries. In the Great Hall, Carlo Ditta and Friends will entertain visitors. The Art on the Spot activity table is set up for young visitors and all galleries are open till 9 p.m.
Masquerade: Late Night at NOMA
A costume bash replete with live music, a cocktail bar, Carnival parading groups, drag performers, and tours of the exhibition A Life of Seduction: Venice in the 1700s will keep NOMA in a party mode till midnight.

Friday Nights at NOMA | Documentary Film: The Ghost Army | Music by Joe Cabral Thrio
Friday Nights at NOMA presents the documentary film The Ghost Army in tribute to World War II veteran and lifelong printmaking artist Jim Steg, the subject of a NOMA retrospective. Music by The Joe Cabral Thrio, an Art on the Spot family-activity table, and a docent tour are also among the evening's offerings.

Exclusively for adults, Create Late allows participants a chance to unwind in an artist-led workshop. Two drink tickets are included in the registration fee.
