Screening of The Devil Wears Prada
2 p.m. | Stern Auditorium

The Devil Wears Prada is a comedy-drama based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name. Meryl Streep stars as Miranda Priestly, a powerful fashion magazine editor, and Anne Hathaway as Andrea Sachs, a college graduate who goes to New York City to become Priestley’s co-assistant. Most designers and other fashion notables avoided appearing as themselves for fear of displeasing Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who is widely believed to have been the inspiration for Priestly. Still, many allowed their clothes and accessories to be used in the film, making it one of the most expensively costumed movies in history.  (PG-13 | 2006 | 1 hour, 49 minutes | Watch the trailer)
