NOTE: Due to this week’s heavy rains, the grounds of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden are too saturated for an outdoor screening. Therefore, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom will be shown indoors in the Stern Auditorium.

Pull out your blankets and chairs—for the spring 2016 series of Movies in the Garden, NOMA is screening films that feature iconic music by the award-winning composer John Williams.

Before the film starts, enjoy live music by Daniele Spadavecchia and free art activities.

About Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Directed by Steven Spielberg. After arriving in India, Indiana Jones is asked by a desperate village to find a mystical stone. He agrees, and stumbles upon a secret cult plotting a terrible plan in the catacombs of an ancient palace.

About Daniele Spadavecchia

With his charming and joyful stage presence, Daniele Spadavecchia brings Gypsy Jazz to New Orleans through the musical journey of his life. He loves to play acoustic gypsy jazz guitar mixing swing with Mediterranean Flamenco and European ethnic music. He sings a selection of Italian, Latin and classic jazz repertoire.

He was born in Italy where he performed for many years, before moving to New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina, he relocated to Scottsdale, AZ and eventually San Diego before returning to the Crescent City. Daniele has taken part in many important events including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival, New Orleans French Quarter Festival, Italian American festivals in Washington DC, New Orleans and San Diego along with radio and TV appearances.
