About Ronald Joseph

Ronald Joseph, a native of Saint Rose, LA, holds a B.A. in music from Bard College, and is currently working toward an M.M. (Piano Performance) at the University of New Orleans. He studied piano at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, and as an active performer, has appeared in concert with the Bard Orchestra, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, and the American Symphony Orchestra. A winner of the Junior Philharmonic Society Competition and the Ursuline Bach Festival, he was a semifinalist in the PianoArts competition in Milwaukee, WI and was featured on the PBS show “From the Top: Live Carnegie Hall.” Most recently, he served as soloist for Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue at the Arsht Center in Miami,  FL. As an educator, Ronald has taught at Harriet Tubman Charter School, Young Audiences of Louisiana, and the fledgling NOCCA Music Preparatory program. He currently serves as a piano instructor at the Irvin Mayfield School of Music and is the lead piano instructor at New Orleans Academy of Music. He is also an accompanying graduate assistant at UNO.
