Get Creative with Studio KIDS!

This fall, Studio KIDS! classes explore art made by diverse cultures throughout time as inspiration for art projects.  From sculpting to painting, each class features different media and techniques. Register for one class or the entire series. Classes are limited to 12 students. Register in advance to ensure your spot.

Let your imagination run wild as you create dream worlds and landscapes using an array of techniques and media.

September 8 | Tell Your Story

Inspired by the charcoal portraits by Willie Birch in the exhibition Changing Course, paint a self-portrait and add collage materials to tell the story of you.

September 22 | Creative Calligraphy

Learn about Japanese legend, folklore, and scenes from everyday life in the exhibition of paintings and calligraphy by Zen Masters. Create your own text-based works with ink on paper.

October 13 | Playful Sculpture

Be creative and produce a paper playground with slides, merry go rounds, and all of your favorite elements.

October 20 | Mixed Media Masterpieces

Utilizing everyday materials such as pasta, buttons, yarn, beads, etc. construct a collage inspired by Lina Victor’s mixed media artworks.

November 10 | Color Me Happy

Express your emotions through color in your painting inspired by Abstract Expressionist artists.

What does family mean to you? Bring a photo of the people you consider your family and create a pencil portrait.
