Hispanic Heritage Celebration with Ecos Latinos
NOMA’s Lapis Center for the ArtsIn partnership with Ecos Latinos, NOMA hosts a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration featuring a night of music in the Lapis Center for the Arts. Performers include violinist Ángel Ríos, Bodoma Garifuna drummers and dancers, Patrice Fisher and Arpa, Mariachi Jalisco, and Mexico Y Sus Raíces dance group.
LOVE in the Garden Presented by Hancock Whitney
Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden 1 Collins Diboll Circle, New Orleans , LATaking place in the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, LOVE in the Garden celebrates the visual and culinary artists of New Orleans with a festive evening offering the best of New Orleans cuisine, spirits, and entertainment. Funds raised at LOVE in the Garden provide crucial general operating support to NOMA, allowing the museum to keep staff employed, create innovative virtual content and serve the New Orleans community with educational initiatives.
Japan Fest
Celebrate Japanese culture through art, performances, food, and more at Japan Fest, organized by NOMA, the Consulate General of Japan in Nashville, and the Japan Club in New Orleans. NOMA’s Art Thrives program aims to create opportunities exclusively for adults ages 55 and up to learn new creative skills while building community and having fun in the process. Over four weeks, participants worked with professional teaching artists and museum staff to explore a diverse range of photographic processes as a catalyst for inspiration.

Art Thrives Ceramics Showcase
NOMA’s Art Thrives program aims to create opportunities exclusively for adults ages 55 and up to learn new creative skills while building community and having fun in the process. Over four weeks, participants worked with teaching artists and museum staff to learn hand-building techniques while exploring the progression of ceramics over the past 200 years.
