Come celebrate with students, families, partners, and supporters to recognize the creativity and achievements of Mini Masters prekindergarten students! The showcase features works of art made by students from participating ReNEW Schools, Educare New Orleans, and Clover (formerly Kingsley House).

Teen Night: Teens Take NOMA!

Join us for a teen takeover at celebrating youth creativity and connection. Designed by NOMA’s Teen Art Council, the event features opportunities to engage with the museum, relax with friends, and connect with creative teens from across the city!

Studio KIDS! (Ages 6–10): Wind Sculpture Mobiles

Join us at the museum on select Saturday mornings for Studio KIDS! youth and pre-teen art-making workshops. We’ll take inspiration from an artwork in the galleries or garden, then return to the studio to make our own creations with a teaching artist. Registration is required and includes all art-making materials.

Summer Camp Session 1: Make Your Mark (Ages 5–7)

Campers will look at works that reveal evidence of human touch, explore how our bodies and movements can be used to make art, and think about the ways artists make their mark on the world. We’ll demystify some of the tools and processes used to create our favorite artworks, and express ourselves through making!

Summer Camp Session 2: Mirrors & Windows (Ages 8–10)

In this session, we will explore the galleries and garden in search of stories. How can art “reflect” something about you, or help you see yourself more clearly? How do artworks act like windows to peek into others’ lives, or to better understand another time or place? Create your own artworks that tell your story.

Summer Camp Session 3: Building & Shaping (Ages 8–10)

Art and artists can often help us see new ways of being. How do you want to shape your world? Take on sculptural, world-building, and creative problem-solving projects in this session all about building a better tomorrow. Join us for this 2023 summer camp session at the New Orleans Museum of Art designed especially for ages 8–10.

Mini Masters at the Library

New Orleans Public Library- Nora Navra Branch

The New Orleans Museum of Art and the New Orleans Public Library have partnered to bring together art and early literacy activities for this community program designed for children ages 2-5 years old and their caregivers. Inspired by NOMA's Mini Masters, an arts-integration program that provides visual arts experiences and museum interaction for preschool students, participants of Mini Masters at the Library will engage in hands-on art-making activities and develop the early literacy skills needed to become ready to read. 

Taylor Family Day

In partnership with the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation, NOMA presents an annual family day for Taylor Scholars. Students in the Taylor Scholars program are invited to #ExploreNOMA and participate in special activities throughout the day.

Summer Camp Session 4: Free Flow (Ages 5–7)

Explore with materials, cause and effect, and the element of surprise in this playful session! How can letting go of “perfect” lead to amazing artistic creations? Campers will find inspiration in experimentation, imagination, and surprise in the galleries, garden, and studio.

Mini Masters at the Library

Summer Camp Session 5: Human/Nature (Ages 8–10)

How do the forces of nature shape our lives, and how do we affect the environment in return? Campers will think about our unique surroundings in southeastern Louisiana, consider the ways in which people and artists work with—and against—nature, and create their own works about our encounters with the natural world.
