Young Audiences of Louisiana’s Baby Artsplay! is offered as a series of six free 30-minute workshops held weekly to engage young children ages 12-24 months and their caregivers in research-based experiences that support their cognitive, physical, and social development.
Take inspiration from a different NOMA artwork each week as you and your child enjoy creative skill-building and play. Sessions take place on Saturdays, 10:30–11:00 am, on Zoom.

Saturday, November 13: “Oh, What a Feeling!” (Emotional Development)
Did you know caregivers have a great impact on emotional development of their little ones? .Learn how you can positively impact the emotional understanding of your child this week during our YALA Baby Artsplay!™ workshop, “Oh, What a Feeling!”
Saturday, November 20: “Hello, Friend…” (Social Skills)
Toddlers tend to garner attention wherever they go, but even our little celebrities need friends. Relationships are the building blocks of healthy development. Learn how to nurture your child’s innate desire for social connection this week during our YALA Baby Artsplay!™ workshop, “Hello, Friend…”
Saturday, November 27: “Express Yourself” (Early Language)
To the untrained ear, it’s just babbling, but we know that your little one is carefully crafting the foundations of a lifetime of language. Learn how to encourage confidence in language and put your child on the starting line to literacy. Join us this week in our YALA Baby Artsplay!™ workshop, “Express Yourself.”
Saturday, December 4: “Tiny Motor Scooters” (Fine Motor Skills)
Like the little engine that drives the train, fine motor skills drive the everyday lives of us all. How do you practice for everyday life? Let us show you how to get their tiny muscles moving during this week’s YALA Baby Artsplay!™ workshop, “Tiny Motor Scooters.”
