Summer Camp Session 2: Color (Ages 6–12)

Tue, June 25th at 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 9:00 AM, repeating until Fri, June 28th, 2024

Each week, take a deep dive into the elements of art and principles of design at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Campers explore the museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions, including the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, with teaching artists. Experience a new adventure every day filled with object lessons, art-making, storytelling, and movement to inspire creative thinking. Campers will practice close looking, develop conversation and critical thinking skills, and connect with others. Week-long camps conclude with a family-friendly event to showcase our learning.

We emphasize an interdisciplinary approach to creative thinking and art-making. Your young artist will explore various art-making mediums and processes including drawing, writing, movement, sculpture, painting, and more—all guided by professional teaching artists. Register now for one or multiple weeks to build a meaningful summer experience.
