Apply for the 2023–24 Creative Assembly Cohort

The New Orleans Museum of Art is seeking applicants for the 2023–24 Creative Assembly Cohort.

Creative Assembly is a community engagement initiative that uses neighborhood-based participatory art experiences as a vehicle for personal exploration, community collaboration, and social change.

NOMA is committed to showcasing and elevating artists from all walks of life and various disciplines. Our definition of “artist” is broad, and all types of artists should consider applying to participate in the Creative Assembly Cohort.

The residency program is open to artists 21 and over. It requires active engagement throughout the residency, including a two-month professional development series of workshops and studio work beginning September 13, 2023.

Cohort Members Receive:

  • Artist compensation of $2,000
  • Stipend for project materials
  • Access to NOMA mentors
  • Showcase or performance space at the museum
  • Professional development workshops
  • One-year membership to NOMA
