Celebrating 20 Years of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden with Pride

Join NOMA and LGBTQ+ community partners across the city for a special evening to mark 20 years of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, one of our city’s landmark cultural destinations.
Learn more about LGBTQ+ artists on view at the museum and Besthoff Sculpture Garden, raise a toast to recent outdoor installations by Elmgreen & Dragset and Jim Hodges, and enjoy an evening filled with music, creativity, and community.
This event is free. Advance registration is encouraged.

The Gulf South LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is our region’s official National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce affiliate, working to advance a society where individuals and businesses have equal rights, equal representation, and equal opportunities. Membership in the Gulf South Chamber gives businesses a fast-track access to NGLCC business certification along with diversity contracting opportunities, training and networking events, and support.
NOAGE is committed to ensuring that all LGBT older adults can live their best lives with the dignity, respect, and good health that they deserve. Its program offerings address the health and wellness, spiritual, legal, financial, and social aspects of life for the New Orleans area older adult LGBT Community. NOAGE also works to increase the cultural competency of older adult service providers through trainings and workshops.
PFLAG New Orleans provides opportunities for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. Its monthly support meetings provide a safe, loving, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for the parents, family, and friends of LGBT people as well as members of the LGBT community and those who wish to learn more about them.
Stonewall Sports New Orleans is the local chapter of a national LGBTQ+ & Ally community-based, non-profit sports organization present in 24 cities that strives to raise funds for local non-profit organizations. Each player is valued for who they are and what they bring to the leagues community. This inclusive, low-cost, high FUN sport league offers kickball, dodgeball, volleyball, bowling, trivia, yoga, and running club.
About NOMA’s Besthoff Sculpture Garden
NOMA’s 12-acre Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden expands visitors’ experiences of the museum with one of the most notable sculpture gardens in the country. The Besthoff Sculpture Garden, free and open to the public seven days a week, has 100 sculptures and outdoor works of art situated in a unique landscape featuring Spanish moss-laden live oaks and a sinuous lagoon surrounded by an expansive ecosystem of native plants.
All 2024, NOMA has been celebrating 20 years of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden with festivals, new installations, and more—including the Visionaries Gala and Garden Party Presented by First Horizon on Thursday, November 7, and Friday, November 8.
