Movies in the Garden: Jaws

Pull out your blankets and chairs–for the spring 2016 series of Movies in the Garden, NOMA is screening films that feature iconic music by the award-winning composer John Williams.
Before the film starts, enjoy live music and free art activities. Food from Crepes a la Cart, Rollin’ Fatties, and Frencheeze food trucks will be available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day of the event. Standard museum admission applies and grants guests access to the museum and garden.
- 5:30 – 7:30 pm: Music by Daniele Spadavecchia
- 5 pm: Art on the Spot
- 8 pm: Jaws (PG, 1975)
About Jaws
When a gigantic great white shark begins to menace the small island community of Amity, a police chief, a marine scientist and a grizzled fisherman set out to stop it. Directed by Steven Spielberg.
About Daniele Spadavecchia
With his charming and joyful stage presence, Daniele Spadavecchia brings gypsy jazz to New Orleans through the musical journey of his life. He loves to play acoustic gypsy jazz guitar, mixing swing with Mediterranean flamenco and European ethnic music. He sings a selection of Italian, Latin and classic jazz repertoire.
He was born in Italy where he performed for many years, before moving to New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina, he relocated to Scottsdale, AZ and eventually San Diego before returning to the Crescent City. Daniele has taken part in many important events including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, New Orleans French Quarter Festival, and Italian-American festivals in Washington DC, New Orleans, and San Diego along with radio and TV appearances.
