Friday Nights at NOMA: Opening of The Essence of Things

Join us tonight for the opening of The Essence of Things — Design and the Art of Reduction: An Exhibition of the Vitra Design Museum. Reiner Packeiser, head of exhibitions at the Vitra Design Museum will give a lecture in the Stern Auditorium, followed by a gallery talk by NOMA’s own curator of decorative arts Mel Buchanan. We’ve also got live music, free art activities for the whole family, and more.

- 5:30-8:30 pm: Music by NOLA String Quartet
- 6:30 pm: Lecture by Reiner Packeiser, Head of Exhibitions, Vitra Design Museum: “Architecture at the Vitra Design Museum”
- 7:30 pm: Gallery Talk on The Essence of Things with Mel Buchanan, RosaMary Curator of Decorative Arts and Design
