About Fish Factory Media
Paul Fisch and Ian Fisch are the founders of Fish Factory Media, a New Orleans based video game development studio. They have over a decade of experience in the videogame industry and have developed and produced over a dozen games. Their most recent game “Road Redemption” is currently available on PC and has sold over 100,000 copies. Paul and Ian will be discussing the design process of taking a video game from concept to reality. They will share the many design secrets that go into making a critically and financially successful videogame. They will discuss the many stages of game development, from making a “vertical slice” of gameplay through the process of raising development funds to creating the design documents and iterating on those design ideas through playtesting and experimentation until the game is perfect.
About Marc Stone
Marc Stone’s fiery, singing guitar, soulful voice and slyly crafted original blues and funky rock-n-roll tunes are front and center on his upcoming release Poison & Medicine. The album features contributions from a who’s who of the New Orleans scene, including members of the Honey Island Swamp Band, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Galactic, as well as New Orleans keyboard masters Josh Paxton and Joe Krown, percussion legends Mike Dillon and Ken “Afro” Williams and host of great vocalists including Big Al Carson, Benny Turner and Tanya and Lillian Boutte. A fixture at festivals and premier venues in New Orleans, and a seasoned touring artist in Europe, Stone came up playing on the streets and in the bands of blues, funk and zydeco legends to become one of the most respected contemporary blues and roots artists on the Crescent City scene. He is also a popular radio host with listeners around the world, and 2015 marks his fifteenth year as a Blues DJ and programmer on legendary New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Station WWOZ 90.7-fm.
