Wed, April 30th at 6:00 PM

To celebrate the opening of Nicolas Floc’h: Fleuves-Océan, Mississippi Watershed, enjoy a conversation between artist Nicholas Floc’h and Brian Piper, NOMA’s Freeman Family Curator of Photographs, Prints, and Drawings, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

Included with museum admission, which is free for Louisiana residents every Wednesday courtesy of The Helis Foundation’s Art for All initiative.

Seating for the talk is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Check in at the admissions desk in the Great Hall and then head to the second-floor Frederick R. Weisman Galleries for the program.

About the Exhibition

French photographer and visual artist Nicolas Floc’h’s Fleuves-Océan project traces the movement of water across our planet, exploring its flow through varied habitats and representing the ways we are all connected by water cycles and systems. This exhibition pairs vibrant monochromatic photographs of the color of water made under the surface with dramatic black-and-white landscape photographs made along the banks of the Mississippi and its tributaries—from Louisiana and across the country.
