An Evening with Nefertari at Café NOMA

Join us for a one-of-a-kind experience of Queen Nefertari’s Egypt.
Take a private tour of the exhibition and then enjoy a multi-course dinner at Café NOMA created by Egyptian-born chef Dina Daniel of Fava Pot in Washington, DC.
6 pm: Exclusive access to Queen Nefertari’s Egypt with a private docent-led tour.
7 pm: Seated four-course dinner at Café NOMA including specialty tea service

Appetizer
Gebna Masery & Aish Baladi (Spicy Feta Cheese & Egyptian Bread) – creamy feta cheese spread spiced with jalapenos, lime, garlic, tomato, cumin, and olive oil
First Course
Ta’amya, Warak Enab, and Lift (Falafel + Grape Leaves + Pickled Turnips) – Falafel – fava beans, coriander, parsley, cilantro, and chives, fried crispy / Grape Leaves – stuffed with rice, ground beef, onions, and spices / Pickled Turnips
Second Course
Koshary – lentils, Egyptian rice, pasta, and a rich spicy tomato sauce, topped with chickpeas and sweet caramelized onions
Third Course
Tagen Bamya Bel Lahma Dani We Roz Bel Shereya (Tagen Okra and Lamb served alongside Egyptian rice with vermicelli) – lamb shanks cooked with garlic and tomatoes then roasted with okra in the oven served with Egyptian rice
Fourth Course
Kunafa bel Gebna (Sweet Cheese Kunafa) – pastry made of buttery shredded wheat, stuffed with sweet white cheeseand covered in a honey syrup, topped with pistachios
