One of the most anticipated springtime events in New Orleans, Art in Bloom showcases spectacular floral designs created by over 100 exhibitors that remain on display at NOMA for five days, from March 16-20. This year’s theme, Artful Entertaining, will bring together exhibitors from New Orleans and beyond to celebrate the art of entertaining. Proceeds from Art in Bloom benefit education projects and exhibitions at NOMA and community projects of The Garden Study Club of New Orleans.

Annie and Benton are the a2b behind a2b Table, an all service entertaining and high end boutique rental company designed to help others entertain. Annie and Benton believe that every table can tell a story. They start with creative design boards to help their clients produce a memorable party or celebration. The goal is not just to make a table or party different, but to make it special and unique for every guest attending. Table details, floral and centerpiece styling, rentals, in-home kitchen and bar styling and purchasing, entertaining secrets; a2b is a home entertaining marketplace!

 

10:30 am | Princess Giorgiana Corsini | NOMA
Princess Giorgiana Corsini is an expert in the design and history of Italian Renaissance gardens. Born in northern Italy, Princess Giorgiana Corsini was educated in Turin and pursued classical studies at the University of Geneva. In 1963, she married Prince Filippo Corsini in Florence. For over 20 years, Giorgiana Corsini has organized the annual spring exhibition, Artigianato & Palazzo, in the Corsini Palace gardens in Florence. This four-day event showcases the work of nearly a hundred artisans and craftsmen, and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Frances Schultz is a contributing editor to House Beautiful and former editor at large for Veranda. She is the author and coauthor of several books including most recently the bestselling The Bee Cottage Story, and for six years was the on-air host of the award-winning cable television show Southern Living Presents. She has appeared on The Today Show, CNN’s Open House, The Nate Berkus Show, among many others. Her popular blog at FrancesSchultz.com is a revealing window into her lively and sometimes laugh-out-loud writing as well as her inspiring style and taste. A North Carolina native, she resides in California and New York.
