Description
Female terra cotta head with elaborate coiffure of two large lobes on the crown (evidence to two further lobes having been placed on the middle of the head but are now missing) and pendant tresses at the temples held in place by an elaborately braided headband. The head also features high-arched eyebrows with incised decoration, the septum with double nose ring, the eyes, ears, nostrils and mouth pierced, and the whole with a fine reddish-buff slip.
