We are now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Creative Assembly residency program.
Launched in 2021, NOMA’s Creative Assembly program cultivates community engagement through a year-long residency in the Department of Learning and Engagement. The residency does not provide a dedicated studio or exhibition space. Artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from public programs, permanent collections, museum exhibitions, and the sculpture garden.
Artists accepted into NOMA’s Creative Assembly residency will receive:
- A $4,000 stipend
- A profile on the NOMA website
- Access to networking and professional development opportunities
- A two-year membership to NOMA
In 2026-27, the Darryl Chappel Foundation will fund two artists who self-identify as Afrodescendant. If you are eligible, please indicate this on your application.
The application deadline is Friday, July 10, 2026. Selected Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America. For questions, contact Jasmine Griffin, Associate Educator, jgriffin@noma.org
