One event on Sat, March 30th, 2024 at 12:00 PM
This spring, NOMA presents an eight-part mindfulness course with Dr. Jayashree Rao.
This series of classes will develop skills to help individuals:
- Cope with the stress, pain, and challenges of everyday life
- Deal with distressing events with grace and composure
- Be present and alive in the here and now
This eight-week course is held on Saturdays in NOMA’s Woldenberg Boardroom. Through guided meditation and brief exercises, participants will learn to develop mindfulness that will help them experience the present moment during everyday activities.
Although there is no specific promised outcome, participants typically report feeling more focused and more “in-tune” with themselves and others. In addition, research suggests significant beneficial effects in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, chronic pain, and diabetes.
$80 for Eight Classes | $60 for NOMA Members
This course is open to everyone, but registration is required as space is limited. Your registration fee covers all eight sessions, and it is highly encouraged to attend every session for a full learning experience.
