Mindfulness training teaches skills to help individuals
- Cope with the stress, pain, and challenges of everyday life.
- Deal with distressing events with grace and composure.
- Be present and alive in the here and now.
About Mindfulness at NOMA
This four-part mindfulness course will be held on Saturdays, 9:30 am–1:00 pm, in NOMA’s Woldenberg Boardroom on the museum’s second floor. Participants sign up for the entire series, and attendance is capped at 30 people.
Participants will learn to develop mindfulness through guided meditation and brief exercises that will help them experience the present moment during everyday activities. Although no specific outcome is promised, participants typically report feeling more “in tune” with themselves and others. In addition, research has shown significant beneficial effects in dealing with stress, anxiety, high blood pressure, depression, chronic pain, and diabetes.
$80 General Admission | $50 NOMA members | $70 Seniors (65+) | $65 University Students
