I See Symbols | Saturday, March 19, 10:30 am–12:00 pm

Uncover symbols like letters, numbers, braille figures, and hieroglyphs in the large-scale relief sculpture Symbols of Communication by Enrique Alférez and make connections with the tomb of Queen Nefertari. In this painting workshop, we will create our own symbols using materials and colors inspired by those of the ancient Egyptian world.

About Queen Nefertari’s Egypt

This exhibition brings to life Queen Nefertari and other powerful women in ancient Egypt through 230 objects, including statues, jewelry, vases, papyrus, steles, wooden coffins, and stone sarcophagi
