“Home Grown” is Presented in Partnership with IBERIABANK | FIRST HORIZON
NEW ORLEANS, LA – The New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) and the Garden Study Club of New Orleans announce Art in Bloom 2021 | Home Grown presented by IBERIABANK | First Horizon. One of the most anticipated spring events in New Orleans, Art in Bloom returns to showcase spectacular floral designs created by garden clubs, floral designers and creative talents from across New Orleans.
With the current protocols in mind, 2021’s theme Home Grown will bring together exhibitors and speakers primarily from our city and region to celebrate the beauty that you can create at home. Taking place from May 5–9, Art in Bloom will feature both virtual and in-person patron experiences while adhering to safety measures that will ensure the well-being of visitors, patrons and staff.
Kim Roddy of the NOMA Volunteer Committee and Brett Lapeyre of The Garden Study Club co-chair this year’s event. “We are delighted to bring back Art in Bloom this year,” said Roddy. “The in-person and virtual offerings create a new element of engagement and programming which we know New Orleans audiences will love. Our theme, Home Grown, is a true celebration of the creativity and resilience of our beloved city.”
In collaboration with The Garden Study Club, this five-day event showcases more than 75 exhibitors of spectacular floral designs. Proceeds benefit educational projects and exhibitions at NOMA, and community projects of the Garden Study Club of New Orleans. Recipients of Garden Study Club grants include the New Orleans Botanical Garden, Long Vue House and Gardens, the historic parterre garden at the Beauregard-Keyes House, rain gardens at New Orleans City Park, and NOMA’s Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden.
