Grab your favorite beverage and join Katie Pfohl, Curator of Contemporary Art, for a virtual happy hour or lunch hour preview of a forthcoming exhibition, Mending the Sky.

The virtual preview will be hosted on Zoom on Friday, September 18 at 6 pm. A Zoom link will be sent to all registrants for access to the free virtual program. Registration will close at 5 pm on Friday, September 18.

Another lunch-hour session will be held on Tuesday, September 22, at 12 pm. Registration will close at 11 am on that date.

Mending the Sky brings together eleven artist projects that envision our world after disaster. The exhibition takes its title from a Chinese fable in which a rip in the sky causes the earth to split open, bringing floods, fires, famine, and disease—until a goddess takes on the arduous task of mending the broken sky. The exhibition will open to the public on October 9, 2020 in the Ella West Freeman Gallery at NOMA.
