NOMA presents Odyssey 2019: Mystère Louisiane in partnership with IBERIABANK, 53rd annual event takes place on November 15, 2019

NEW ORLEANS, LA – On Friday, November 15, 2019, the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) celebrates Odyssey 2019: Mystère Louisiane presented by IBERIABANK. Now in its 53rd year, the premier event of the New Orleans gala season raises funds to support NOMA’s nationally-recognized exhibitions and educational programs, which bring more than 300,000 annual visitors to the museum and Besthoff Sculpture Garden. This year’s event co-chairs are Anne and Edmund Redd and Rupa and Tarun Jolly.

Premiering that evening, Odyssey 2019 features NOMA’s fall special exhibition, Inventing Acadia: Painting and Place in Louisiana. The first major exhibition on Louisiana landscape painting in more than 40 years, Inventing Acadia explores the rise of landscape painting in Louisiana during the 19th century, revealing its role in creating—and exporting—a new vision for American landscape art that was vastly different than that to be found in the rest of the United States.

IBERIABANK is the title sponsor of Odyssey Ball. “IBERIABANK has partnered with NOMA for decades, and we are looking forward to another exciting Odyssey Ball,” said Hunter Hill, New Orleans Market President of IBERIABANK. “There are several new features and surprises for this year’s event, so you won’t want to miss it.”

The evening kicks off with the Patron Party from 7-8 PM, and continues with the gala from 8 PM-midnight. Entertainment is presented by Élan Artists. Cuisine will be provided by 1718 Catering & Events along with libations from Libations by Sazerac New Orleans.
