Teens at NOMA

Teenagers, ages 13–19, receive free general admission to the museum courtesy of The Helis Foundation.

In addition to admission, NOMA offers programs throughout the year designed for teenagers to engage with NOMA’s permanent collection, exhibitions, and Besthoff Sculpture Garden.

Teen Art Council

The Teen Art Council (TAC) is a group of creative high school students and teen leaders passionate about art and community engagement. Participants meet at the museum every week, gaining behind-the-scenes access to museum collections, exhibitions, and programming.  TAC participants develop workplace and team-building skills, assist with planning the annual Teen Takeover, and explore career options through interactions with NOMA staff.

Have questions about joining? Contact Jasmine Griffin, Associate Educator (Teen-Adult), at jgriffin@noma.org.

Teen Takeover

Teen Takeover is an after hours program organized and spearheaded by NOMA’s Teen Art Council. An event for teens by teens, this annual event offers teenagers a chance to explore the museum after hours and view NOMA’s current exhibitions. Teen Takeover provides art education and entertainment catered to teens, including performances, artmaking activities, tours, food, and gallery talks.
