In conjunction with the debut of the documentary George Dunbar: Mining the Surfaces—which brings the story of Dunbar’s career, work ethic, life, and art into vivid focus—WLAE and NOMA are pleased to present the opportunity to bid on four fabulous works.
Each of these unique artworks celebrates the artist’s place in the history of modern and contemporary art in New Orleans and beyond; his inspiration from the natural world; his approachability; and his calling as an artist.
The silent auction is open Friday, January 20–Friday, January 27, at noon.
Artworks will be on view in NOMA’s Coleman Courtyard Tuesday, January 24–Friday, January 27, at noon.
