2020 Summer Camp Session 4: Humans/Nature, July 13 – 17 | Ages 5 – 7

Zoom out a bit further, and think about the forces of nature that shape our lives. In Humans/Nature, campers will think about our unique surroundings in Southeastern Louisiana, the glorious and unwieldy Mississippi River, and ways in which people and artists work with – and against — nature. Inspired by the Impressionists’ quest for capturing the fleeting beauty of a landscape, geologists’ attempts to map the changing course of the Mississippi River in a tangle of winding lines, and architect and sculptors’ efforts to shape land and materials, campers will create their own works about our encounters with the natural world.

  • NOMA takes pride in our endeavors to create programming and events for people of all ages to enjoy, and occasionally documents programs by photograph and video. Please check the box below to grant permission to the New Orleans Museum of Art to use photographs and/or videos of my child taken in Spring 2020 Studio KIDS! workshops or Summer Art Camps in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of the museum.
