2020 Summer Camps: Teen Intensive, Untold Truths, June 8 – 12 | Ages 11 – 13

NOMA is debuting a brand new one-week interdisciplinary camp for middle school students, ages 11 – 13. Don’t miss this opportunity to work closely with a teaching artist to dive in to storytelling in works of art at the museum.

We often simplify our truths: happy or sad, introverted or extroverted, good or bad. In reality, each of us is incredibly complex, nuanced and ever-evolving. In this week-long art intensive, explore stories within artworks in the museum’s galleries and sculpture garden. Working closely with a teaching artist, participants will work both individually and collaboratively to investigate and break down the many ideas and perspectives held within art and art-making processes, and tell their own stories using a range of mediums including drawing, collage, creative writing, and more!

  • NOMA takes pride in our endeavors to create programming and events for people of all ages to enjoy, and occasionally documents programs by photograph and video. Please check the box below to grant permission to the New Orleans Museum of Art to use photographs and/or videos of my child taken in Spring 2020 Studio KIDS! workshops or Summer Art Camps in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of the museum.
