SUMMARY:Little Learners: Celebrate Mardi Gras
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the museum on select Saturday mornings for Studio KIDS!: Little Learners art-making workshops for artists ages 4-5 and their adult caregiver. Together with a NOMA teaching artist\, studio participants and their caregivers will explore artworks in the museum and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden before practicing their art-making skills in the studio. \nAbout Little Learners: Celebrate Mardi Gras\nCelebrate the arrival of Mardi Gras! After exploring an artwork by Louisiana artist Lynda Benglis\, participants will create their own colorful artwork using recycled materials.  \nThis Little Learners session will be led by teaching artist Krystyna.  \nRegistration is $15 for members and $20 for other participants. Advance registration is required and includes all art-making materials. Registration includes admission for children and one accompanying caregiver.  \nStudio KIDS! participants receive a 10% discount on purchases made at the NOMA Museum Shop. The discount is valid only for the day of their workshop attendance. Participants must show proof of attendance to receive the discount. Markdown and consignment merchandise is excluded from the discount. \n\nProgram Update:\nOne Little Learners and Studio KIDS! sessions for Saturday\, February 7\, have been cancelled. SUMMARY:Teen Takeover Night: Sound and Color
DESCRIPTION:NOMA’s Teen Art Council takes over the museum for a night celebrating youth\, creativity\, and connection. Inspired by the exhibition Hayward Oubre: Structural Integrity\, this year’s “Sound and Color” event features opportunities to engage with the exhibition\, relax with friends\, and connect with creative teens from across the city. \nFeaturing: \nLive music from local\, teen-led band Beverly Hills Polo Club \nArt-making activities inspired by the exhibition Hayward Oubre: Structural Integrity  \nOpportunities to connect with HBCUs including Xavier\, Dillard\, and SUNO \nA raffle for prizes from the NOMA Museum Shop and other organizations \nFood available for purchase from Crepes a la Carte and light bites from Café NOMA \nand more! \nAdmission and programming are free for teens. Advanced registration is encouraged.  Only adults affiliated with a teen attendee are permitted to attend.  \nRegister Now \n\nTeen Takeover Night is designed by NOMA’s Teen Art Council (TAC)—by teens\, for teens.
