DESCRIPTION:Join us at the museum on select Saturday mornings for Studio KIDS! youth art-making workshops. We’ll take inspiration from artwork in the museum and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden and make our own creations with a teaching artist. \nAbout Studio KIDS!: Tinker Hatfield\nIn this upcoming Studio KIDS! workshop\, students will be introduced to the art and design work of Tinker Hatfield\, a designer known for his numerous Air Jordan designs. Students will explore artwork across NOMA’s galleries to find inspiration for their own designs. After discussing the elements and principles of art and design\, students will incorporate the artwork at NOMA into their Hatfield-inspired shoe designs. This art education experience is designed for children ages 11-14. \nRegistration is $30; $25 for members. Advance registration is required and includes all art-making materials. \nRegister Now

DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation\, NOMA presents an annual family day for Taylor Scholars. Students in the Taylor Scholars program and educators across Louisiana are invited to explore the museum and participate in art-making activities throughout the day. \nThe NOMA Museum Shop will also be offering a free gift with purchase to Taylor Scholars and educators this day. \nNo registration is required to attend Taylor Scholars Day.
