Historian Joan DeJean to lecture about New Orleans’ connection to Philippe II, Duke of Orléans
In conjunction with The Orleans Collection exhibition, historian Joan DeJean will present a lecture titled “Champs-Elysées: Building Paris, Building New Orleans” on Thursday, November 29 at 6 pm. Abry Brothers shoring company purchased a photograph with visible family connection for NOMA’s collection
A photograph by Clarence John Laughlin was added to NOMA’s permanent collection thanks to a donation from Abry Brothers, Inc., a New Orleans-based shoring contractor in business since 1840 that shares a special relationship with this image made in 1946. Read More
French Connection Film Series highlights 18th-century France
