NOMA SWOON LECTURE PART 2 OF 4
On Friday, June 10, 2011, the New Orleans Museum of Art unveiled a new large scale, site-specific installation by the internationally renowned artist Swoon.
Swoon spoke to a full auditorium on opening night about the NOMA work, as well as her other projects.
The NOMA installation, entitled Thalassa is named for and inspired by the Greek goddess of the sea. The work began with a careful examination of NOMA’s Great Hall and was specifically designed for the space. Thalassa is on display until September 25, 2011.
This is the second part (of 4 segments) of Swoon’s lecture.
