NOMA celebrates Thornton Dial with reception: photo gallery

The New Orleans Museum of Art celebrated the opening of "Hard Truths: The Art of Thornton Dial" by welcoming Dial and his family, Mayor Mitch Landrieu, Indianapolis Museum of Art curator Joanne Cubbs, William and Matt Arnett of the Souls Grown Deep Foundation and many more supporters. The exhibit, on view until May 20, presents more than 40 of Dial's large-scale paintings, drawings and found-object sculptures.
